Melinda Stephenson
Melinda is a certified Executive Coach with over 30 years of experience in the development of individuals, teams and organizations in technology, pharmaceutical, retail, and other industries.
She provides outcome-based coaching through a blend of pragmatic guidance and structured exploration into the underlying assumptions and thought patterns which support leadership performance. She helps her clients strengthen their work relationships and improve collaboration by building their skills in conflict management, influencing, listening, coaching others and negotiating. Melinda draws on her knowledge of neuroscience, organizational psychology, emotional intelligence and cognitive behavior change to support her clients in reaching their full potential.
Melinda held senior HR positions at Gap, Inc., American Express, and Macy’s Northeast. At Gap, she led the Organization Development function and consulted directly to the CEO and executive team, executing human capital strategies for an organization of more than 30,000 employees. She has designed and facilitated several leadership development and management programs across industries.
Melinda has a BS in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University and is certified by the International Coach Federation. She is a member of the Adjunct Faculty at New Ventures West where she trains and mentors coaches.
