Maria Garrett
Maria is a certified Executive Coach who works with top-level leaders and C-Suite executives to increase their personal leadership impact and influence on organizational performance and results. Her coaching work draws upon her more than 25 years of experience performing in senior HR leadership, Corporate Learning and Organizational Development roles where she designed and delivered HR strategies, talent development programs, change initiatives, and leadership team interventions aimed at increasing essential skills, management capabilities, leadership impact, performance outcomes and business results. While much of her experience comes from the high-tech sector where she worked with companies like Motorola, AMD, Freescale and NXP, she also has experience working with GMs, engineering leaders, manufacturing operations, IT orgs, sales, marketing, legal & finance teams in company environments ranging from the very small and local to the large, multinational and complex. In her last corporate role, she led the Corporate Learning function and top-tier Leadership Development programming for NXP Semiconductors.
Maria uses needs assessments and diagnostic data to customize interventions & solutions to meet the unique needs of a given challenge. When coaching leaders, she is both pragmatic and results focused. Her style is said to be candid and direct but also personable and compassionate. Blending theory with practice, she helps leaders and teams identify, understand and move past obstacles that can inhibit next-level success.
She is credentialed as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a Certified Executive Coach from the Center for Executive Coaching. She is certified to administer a variety of leadership capability assessments and personality instruments and is a certified change practitioner. Maria holds a graduate degree in Organizational Communications & Behavior Studies and undergraduate degrees in both Business Management and Organizational Communications.
